Garlic Salt

Garlic Salt
A popular all-around seasoning salt, our Garlic Salt is hand-blended from just two all-natural ingredients—salt and garlic. One of the first seasonings blends we learned how to make, Garlic Salt retains all of garlic’s pungent, mouth-watering aroma and piquancy, made sweeter while the garlic dried. When it’s combined in a controlled blend with salt, all of garlic’s nuanced flavor is brought forward, and the salt and garlic work in unison to enhance the food they’re incorporated into. All of our seasoning blends are hand-blended on-site in small batches, to protect flavor and provide our customers with the freshest seasoning blends possible.
Garlic’s long history began in central Asia, in the region that runs between Mongolia and the Caspian Sea. It has been in cultivation for more than 4,000 years, and was found in King Tut’s tomb, circa 1325 BCE. It has been considered a revered spice, a sign of low breeding, and a channel for folk magic. It was believed to be an aphrodisiac, and children and widows were forbidden to consume garlic lest it awakened an inappropriate sexual appetite. Garlic was prescribed for men who had "intimacy problems" or whose wives were not satisfied with their intimate lives, and grooms would hide garlic throughout their wedding clothes to ensure a happy honeymoon.
Tips From Our Kitchen
Garlic Salt is the perfect seasoning blend for all things beef. Try it on roasts, in hamburger meat, in chili, mixed in with beef enchilada filling, or in the meat layered into lasagna. Use it as a flavor base for a dry rub for brisket. It works wonderfully with hearty foods, so use on pork roast or mutton. It’s great with starchy vegetables like potatoes, so add some to mashed potatoes, wedges, or hash browns. Mix into a compound butter for your corn on the cob, and if it’s snack time, stir your favorite herbs and a tablespoon of garlic salt into an 8oz container of sour cream for a quick and easy chip dip.
This blend is made of sea salt and garlic.
