Korean Beef Seasoning

The beguiling smells of oranges and onion are the notes that open our Korean Beef Seasoning. This blend strives for balance between sweetness, heat, and savory flavors. The slightly caramelized warmth of demerara sugar strikes equilibrium with the heat of gochugaru, Korean chile flakes. Onions and garlic pair with oranges and ginger while black pepper and turmeric provide depth. It’s rounded out by the savory crunch of nutty sesame seeds, which lend their snappy texture to this blend’s overall sensory experience. Our Korean Beef Seasoning is blended in our facility in small batches to provide the freshest product possible to our customers.
Korean beef is a growing market, fueled in part by the high-end quality of hanwoo beef. A small breed of cattle that have inhabited the Korean peninsula since 2000 BCE, hanwoo is prized for its rich marbling, which enhances its flavor and texture. The hanwoo breed labored for several millennia as draft animals, but in the 1960s the Korean economy underwent an expansion and cattle farmers began breeding hanwoo for their meat. By the 1980s, hanwoo beef had become popularly established as a product worthy of the high price it still commands. It has become one of the most expensive breeds of cattle on the market, comparable with Japanese wagyu beef, one of the foremost cuts of luxury meat available today.
Tips From Our Kitchen
Use our Korean Beef Seasoning anywhere you want an exciting new Asian flavor. We recommend that you use 2-3 teaspoons of Korean Beef Seasoning per pound of meat. Add it to pepper steak, or shave thin slices of steak for homemade bulgogi. Mix it into burgers and top that burger with an egg and a spicy cabbage slaw. It would be wonderful rubbed onto pork tenderloin and roasted. Mix with rice and stuff into peppers or tomatoes. Toss over chicken wings and air-fry.
Blended from demerara sugar, garlic, onion, sea salt, black pepper, sesame, ginger, Korean chile flakes, orange, turmeric and chives.
