The Grill Master Spice Set

The Grill Master Spice Set

This 10 jar grill seasonings spice set is the perfect pick for the master griller in the family, especially for those that love to occasionally dabble in converting the grill into a backyard smoker. This spice collection is loaded with just about every type of grilling and smoker seasoning to get your own pit master all the way through summer and well into the fall.

This spice set includes:

  1. Flippin' the Bird - This chicken seasoning blend has an almost magical touch that only dried herbs can give to chicken but it also has a wonderful balance of some subtle sweetness from the granulated honey. This chicken seasoning is great in the oven but is something special when used on the grill.
  2. Austin Steakhouse Rub - Steak Rubs are different than steak seasonings as rubs are used to add both flavor and surface texture to steaks. A good steak rub will be coarser than a steak seasoning and will be more liberally applied. We like to first brush the steak with vegetable or olive oil before using our Austin Steak Rub. Use 2 tablespoons of our Austin Steak Rub for each pound of steak.
  3. Smoky Molasses Rub - A noticeable yet somewhat mysterious sweetness followed by a smooth earthiness from the garlic and onion. Then you’ll pick up a bit of heat that hits the back of your throat with some lingering citrus notes. As a rule of thumb you should use about 1 tablespoon of dry rub per pound of chicken or pork.
  4. Burger Blast - This was our first burger seasoning and was developed for us by one of our favorite Competition Barbecuers who happens to love a good burger too! We like to sprinkle this on the burgers and then gently pat it into the meat about an hour before grilling. We also like to add more of this during the cooking process to layer in the flavor.
  5. Jamaican Jerk - Jerk rub has a reputation for its subtle heat and this blend won't disappoint. Our Jamaican Seasoning is convenient enough to use in everyday cooking, but is packed with enough special flair to be used for any backyard grilling celebration. Use as a Jamaican Jerk Rub or sprinkle it on chicken, pork, beef, fish, seafood (most definitely on shrimp) before grilling or broiling.
  6. Diablo Burger Seasoning - You’ll pick up a umami flavor (courtesy of the Worcestershire) followed by some smokiness, a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess and then finally a tiny bit of heat will hit the back of your tongue. I’ve also found better success when adding the seasoning after the burgers have already been formed instead of adding into the meat when making the patties. As mentioned above this keeps the meat from being overworked.
  7. Kickin' Chicken - This is a delightful sweet chicken rub that packs just enough heat (but not too much) and all of the ingredients are finely ground and perfectly hand blended. The reason this is important is to eliminate any flavor explosions.
  8. Peruvian Kebab Seasoning - You can use this either as a dry rub or make a marinade. As a dry rub we recommend using 1 tbsp of seasoning per lb of meat. As a marinade, mix ¼ cup of Peruvian Kebab Seasoning with ½ cup of olive oil and ½ cup of vinegar, blend until evenly mixed. Pour over the beef hearts, steak or chicken while evenly distributing so all pieces are well covered and are able to absorb the marinade. Cover and place in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before grilling.
  9. Honey Chipotle Rub - This one of our more popular "beginners" rubs that is ideal for chicken or fish. We absolutely love the sweet taste of the honey combined with the smoky flavor of the ground chipotle powder and the Spanish paprika. Best of all the granulated honey really helps to form the perfect crust that all good barbequed grilled chicken should have.
  10. Shawarma Seasoning - This spice blend originated in northwestern Turkey and Shawarmas are considered a fast food staple in the Middle East and Europe, especially in Germany, think of it almost like a Middle Eastern Taco. Wrapped in pita bread and filled with thinly sliced meat, vegetables and a variety of flavorful sauces. In the markets of Lebanon and Syria these are served on flatbreads instead of pitas.
