Southwestern Grilling
Grilling can be somewhat of a spiritual experience, especially in the Southwest. Flavor is king there and exploring tastes of different cuisines is key. This collection of seasoning blends is the perfect way to jump into the flavors of the Southwest while also introducing yourself to different flavors that work really well on grilled food.
This spice set includes:
- Yucatan Recado Rojo Rub - This is pretty amazing on a variety of dishes but the exquisite, unique flavor is best on grilled chicken. Your mouth is bound to be impressed.
- Adobo Seasoning - Classically Mexican, this seasoning is a perfect addition to rice and beans, but it can also be used to make an adobo sauce for meats.
- Pollo Asado - Great for roasted chicken, as the name would imply! This blend is also tasty on root vegetables.
- Barbacoa Rub- This blend was developed to be perfect for meat. Use this savory blend on things like ground beef or a hearty steak.
- Manzanillo Mexican Seasoning - Manzanillo and grilled shrimp are a pair absolutely destined for the grill. Use this blend on chicken and fish, too!
- Adobo Lime Rub - A perfectly flavorful blend that makes a great marinade and also a great dry rub is hard to find! Luckily you don't have to look very far with this Adobo Lime seasoning.
- Fajita Seasoning - Use this to season the meat you are using in your fajitas. You can also throw some on your favorite roasted vegetables!
- One Flew Over the Chicken's Nest - The quintessential meat seasoning, this savory blend that is garlicky with just a small heat kick will have you wishing you made chicken more often.
- Hill Country Chili Powder - This blend is deep and complicated with a spiciness that can't be beat (except for by a tall glass of cold milk). Add it to beef dishes like chile or throw it on those hamburgers for the grill.
- Southwest Seasoning - Southwest Seasoning is delicious on foods like burritos, tacos, and fajitas. It's excellent when pairs with black beans or pork.
