Organic Golden Milk
Golden Milk is a delicious, warm drink that makes use of the wonderful spice that is turmeric. This spice has a plethora of known health benefits, and Golden Milk is the perfect meetup of turmeric with other spices that also have some known health benefits to them. Delicious and good for you, this drink is one we really can't get enough of.
The Story of Our Organic Golden Milk
What Hindi speakers call "haldi doodh," we English speakers call Golden Milk. At its base and ancient form, golden milk is simply a cup of milk and a tablespoon of turmeric- the milk acting only as a vessel to deliver the turmeric to your body. In America, we have spruced it up a little bit, making this not only a drink with a variety of health benefits, but a frothy, creamy, indulgent drink that anyone can love. A common alternative to golden milk in Indian cultures is to simply add turmeric to hot tea. This practice of combining turmeric with a drink is nothing new, but Golden Milk as we Americans know it is a much more recent invention.
Turmeric has been present in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. This is a holistic, whole-body healing system based on the idea that the balance between mind, body, and spirit are what keep us well was developed in India thousands of years ago. This methodology relies heavily on natural sources of medicine to help prevent and cure illnesses. The addition of plant milks and oils to the Ayurvedic drink haldi doodh is a Western thing designed to help mask the earthy or "medicinal" taste of just mixing turmeric with milk.
We decided to craft our own version of an Organic Golden Milk blend to make this healthy, tasty drink more accessible to the everyday person in the comfort of their own home. You can rest with Golden Milk every night if you desire, as it is said to help with stress and it has many anti-inflammatory properties. Another interesting tidbit about our Organic Golden Milk is that it is one of the few blends that we have available that's only made as an Organic blend!

Can I Drink Golden Milk Every Day?
Yes, you can drink Golden Milk daily if you choose! Some healthcare professionals encourage this level of consumption even, as golden milk has known health benefits. It has been said to help boost the immune system, or even repair a poorly functioning immune system. It has also been proven to help improve liver function and help to prevent and manage diabetes.
Helpful Hints
Golden Milk is a very flavorful blend. Start with a little bit and remember you can always add more if you want more flavor, but you can never pull the spices back out of the pot! As always, taste as you cook. If you are simply making golden milk and you accidentally add too much of this blend for your taste, you can always add more milk to dilute the spices a bit.
