Out of the 2 lbs I ordered.......I only could use 1/8 of it. The rest of the star anise was crushed and damaged beyond use. I ordered Whole star anise and got 2 lbs crushed / powdered . I ended up ordering from elsewhere. This was a gift for my husband for an embellishment to a drink. Unfortunately couldn't give it to him.
