an unbelievable aroma - reminds an unbelievable aroma - reminds me more of smoked plums than of regular chipotles - and they pack a hefty heat

Great flavor I grind these peppers in my blender and put them in my salsa for a wonderful spicy, smokey flavor. I also season my food prior to grilling and it's great.

Chipotle Morita Chiles And thanks to Habaneros and these Chipotles, both from Spices, Inc. they are. These Chipotles come packaged and sealed wonderfully, and the flavor and aroma are fantastic! I also applaud and thank Spices, Inc. for shipping to APO's. Some places just don't recognize or appreciate Americans living and working overseas (a Seafood Restaurant that should be "Red" with embarrasment, for example) but Spices, Inc. sure does and I love recommending this company to others who are also stationed overseas. Thank you Spices, Inc! :-)

Chipotle Morita Chiles The quality is much better than anything I can find locally and the packaging is far superior as well.

Chipotle Morita Chiles Full of flavor and aroma. Among the best chipotles I have found on the market.

Chipotle Morita Chiles Both fresh and dried. these are a "can't do without" in my kitchen. i go through pounds of these. they are the mainstay in my home made sauces and salsas. in traditional latin-american cooking, dried chiles are toasted in an iron pan (comal) before using. pliability is an important factor when toasting them. in a properly dried chile, the moisture content needs to still be high enough that when you toast them the residual moisture causes the chile to puff back up. this makes it easy to split the chile and remove the seeds and membranes. this is important if you remove these to tame the heat, but also if (like me) you want to toast the seeds to add back to dishes. trying to toast or remove the seeds from an overly dried chile is an exercise in futility. i live 45 miles from mexico, and i can get just about any chile locally. however, getting dried chiles that are not overly dried, and are still pliable is not always easy. these from spicesinc. are consistently the best moritas i've found in terms of correct dryness, quality, and size.
