Bought this as an alternative
Bought this as an alternative to black pepper. It has very mild heat with some smokiness. Very nice. Ordering was easy and delivery was prompt. I also got a free sample of Pennsylvania Pepper, which is a blend of black pepper, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and celery. Haven't tried it yet, but that was a nice touch.

Maras is Great
Maras is similar to Aleppo and I use both in similar ways in my cooking. It isn't super spicy, it will give your dish a kick without over powering it. Warm, earthy, and dare I say slightly tangy. I can't be without it in my kitchen. It's simply delicious.

A perfect red pepper
Although I also use Urfa and Aleppo peppers, I turn to Maras most often. It combines very clean mid-grade heat with a brightness that is not sharp. Aleppo is edgier and sharper, Urfa darker and hotter on the finish.

New favorite!
Our family likes a range of spices. My husband loves really spicy stuff, I like sort of medium, and our daughter pretty much none. both my husband and I love the flavor of this, and I've added it to a couple of dishes just as sort of a garnish that I mixed in, and our daughter ate it without realizing it had spice! It Does have a bit of heat, but it's not overwhelming. The flavor is really really good. It has a bit of smokey, a bit of sweet even, and it blends so well with almost everything. We put some on deviled eggs which was so tasty! We put it on steaks with a little salt and black pepper, and we've used it in dips as well. This has become my go-to pepper, and I'm going to have to reorder really soon because we're going through it so fast. I ordered the smallest size just to try it, now I wish I bought a big bag lol!

Excellent products
We were introduced to Urfa, Maras, and Alepo pepper as an alternative to our ubiquitous black pepper and this site was the only one that carried all three. Our last order was a return visit and both times we have been happy with the quality of the products. Each jar is jammed full of pepper while ordering and receiving the products was simple and straight forward.
