Granulated Onion Review
Hi,
I think it is very good. I do wonder tho how it is made. Do they use the entire onion, that is, stem, skin, roots, and all? If so wondering about any chemicals used. Organic for me is not usually an option, eating a vegan diet, I realize that, again, usually, that means using things like blood meal, bone meal, fish meal, feather meal and composted manure, as fertilizer, that comes from animals who are raised to be slaughtered.
I am working on what's called veganic gardening, check out Jenny Hall and Iain Tolhurst's book, "Growing Green" (also a fair amount of internet info) if you are interested in that. I think there might be a significant and growing market niche there once people who follow a vegan diet for conscientious reasons realize what a standard organic growing regimen involves.
But, where was I? (lol), oh yeah, the California granulated onion is very good.

Onion Granules
Have had problems in the past keeping my onion powder from becoming a 'brick.' This is perfect replacement for me. If I need powder I can simply grind it until I get what I need.

Onion Granules
It has a great onion smell and flavor. I'll use these with my roasted onion granules to add a different note. I love using several onion products/textures and garlic ones in a dish. Gives it much more complex flavor than just one source would do. Yours are so fresh tasting and have great flavor.

Free of the harsh notes of fresh chopped onion. It quickly disappears into sauces, broth, roux, etc., leaving behind a wonderful flavor profile. The term "granule" may be a bot of a misnomer, as this product is very fine...not quite a powder, but pretty close.

Onion Granules
Great for seasoning chicken and adding to your garlic bread mix. These onion granules are actually granules. Not powder that is hard to mix in. Not large chunks that absorb all the liquid in your recipe.
