New Mexico Lumbre Chile Powder
You know those mellow to medium NM chiles? Not this one! The Lumbre packs both big NM flavor and high heat. Not the heat of a Carolina Reaper, Ghost, or Habanero, but certainly a hot NM chile. The earthy and slightly citrus flavor are fresh, sharp, and fast, with the flashy red orange color of a NM sunset. As the saying goes, a little goes a long way. Can substitute for Hot Sauce, cayenne, serrano, or jalapeno, or just kicking flavor up NM-style.

Hot Chile!
This is fine New Mex Chile. To me it compares with Sandia. The sweet & musky flavor is great. To me it isn't as pungent as cayenne, de Arbol or Thai Chile but very good!

Not really powder
I would hardly call this chili “powder”. think this is more like a chili flake. I had to actually sift out the larger woody material. I lost about a pound and a half of product because of the large diameter material that was in it.

theres no fire in this lumbre!
I am aware of what lumbre chile stands for I have some green in my freezer. The powder I acquired isn't hot at all, it has an old stale taste to it. this will be my one and only time acquiring chile powder from your company. My father inlaw has some lumbre chile powder, he is a traveling artist and when i tasted his powder i was sure thats what i was getting. his was hot, bold, flavorful and all around satisfying. i wish i had better things to say about my experiences with your chile product. thank you.
