A Hard-to-Find Ingredient for Indian-Spiced Dishes!
I spent years searching for a source for Kala Jeera, Black Cumin Seed (not Nigella). I'm so glad to find it at Spices Inc! It tastes very fresh and adds an exotic flavor to foods. I use it in a variation of my simple version of Chana Dal, made of Chana dal, Toor dal, and Butternut squash, pressure cooked with a bit of Turmeric, with a little sweetener and Kala Jeera added. It's also great in Saffron Rice.

a revelation. I've been using cumin for many years and never realized how good this variant is. Use in place of regular cumin- not the same, just better.

Amazingly flavorful cumin!
If you grind this up it will be someone f the most fresh cumin seed you've ever had, not only that black cumin has a few medical properties regular cumin does not! win win!
