Brittle Ancho Chiles
Instead of complex flavor, brittle ancho chiles produce a predominantly bitter flavor when they are rehydrated.
The ancho chiles I received from Spices Inc. were dry and brittle. I contacted customer service and they refunded my money, but politely told me the chiles were supposed to be that way.
I don't see the point of shopping where staff is polite but poorly informed .
