Jalapeno Flakes
Now they are a neighborhood stable! We have introduced it to friends who thought that this type of seasoning was only about heat and the only choice was supermarket red chili flakes. I invited a neighbor to try jalapeno flakes on his pasta....and on his pizza. He discovered that heat is only one element. The jalapeno had a hint of sweetness and became an enhancement to the food. Soon he discovered that it brought a new life to home made soups. Now he loves to discover other 'matchs' for the jalapeno flakes that are a staple of his kitchen. From there is has spread like a precious family secret. It has been received by friends and neighbors like a gift.

Jalapeno Flakes
Because the dried flakes retain the actual pepper flavor as well as heat it can be substituted any place you'd like a fresh jalapeno. Finally, I do not have to stop making a dish because of the lack of fresh jalapenos. There will always be some in my cupboard. Right-on SpicesInc!
