The blackened seasoning had a very good flavor. My personal preference is that it would be quite a bit hotter but with a couple of additions, nest time I use it, it will be.

I have been "blackening" different food groups (fish, chicken, beef) for probably 32 years and I must say this seasoning is the worst we have tried. I don't think it is the lack of sodium but the flavor profile just doesn't cut it. There is nothing "spicey" about this seasoning. We tried this with some back thick black grouper and the tasted "blah". You need to mix something into this to get the flavor much better. I was worried when I tasted it dry and when I used it with the grouper it did not improve. Come by my house in St. Cloud, FL for some great blackened fish just not with this seasoning. Let me know when you revise this seasoning, as I can't use this at all and certainly cannot recommend it.

It makes my tongue happy!!
I have had to reorder this spice because I use a lot of it. It has great flavor. I love it on fish that is merely baked, not blackened and it is equally good as it is on chicken blackened in my cast iron!!
