Pasilla Negro Chile Powder
The product was okay. Problem being is that I really, really need the powder in a non-smoked state. In other words, what I need is a dehydrated, ground Chilaca Pepper powder. Any suggestions?

Passilla Negra Chile Molido
Sold another Chile Powder to us in place of Chile Pasilla Negra, then tried to say that was how the Chile Pasilla was being sold at this time. We use the product in specific restaurant recipes and preparations, so when our finished product came out to our guests and they said "it doesn't taste the same now" what should our response be? We have owned and operated Mexican Restaurants in SW Florida for 30 years and have ties to other Mexican Restaurant operations in Oklahoma going back to the early 1980's. We also have a second home on the Pacific in Mexico and shop and cook with local ingredients. I can understand a mistake with shipping products or that maybe your company is out of Pasilla Negra at this time, but the product we received was not Pasilla Negra and it was made to sound like it would be inconvenient to return the product or fix the issue for us. Service is always the difference as to where people or companies purchase their goods. I promptly ordered the correct Chile Pasilla product from the Chile Guy and received within a week. Up to now I had always been pleased with the products we ordered and received from Spices, Inc. and the service but this transaction made me go back and give a previous supplier some business again.
