Very popular mix for Red Beans and rice in my family.
Very popular mix for Red Beans and rice in my family. Kids (5) 4 have graduated college and have adopted this mix as well. I sent everyone a care package full of fresh spices plus some premeasured dried beans & rice. They love this mix.
Down side is it has to be refreshed more than once a year. So USE IT UP. Yummy... before is greys out on you. Then buy more. It's cheap.

Very Bitter
All I have to say is that it looked good when I got it, until I cooked with it and it had a very bitter taste to where I could not eat it and had to throw my dinner away, tried it again in another dish and same thing made my dish bitter, tried the spice straight out of the container and yes very bitter had to throw it away will not buy again.

Delicious seasoning for red beans & rice.
I'm quite happy with this seasoning. I use it to create a premixed kit for red beans & rice, and I find that the seasoning is fine enough to stay fully mixed in storage, such that I don't have a "different seasoning" depending on whether I'm measuring out from a full jar or a nearly empty one. It creates a delicious entree or side, without unnecessary heat.
