But it is surely the best thickener I have encountered yet. Compared to the high prices for small amounts at supermarkets, I was able to get a pound for a very reasonable amount, and a little goes a VERY long way! Arrowroot and cardamom pods were the primary ingredients for a simple milk pudding I was making, and both spice inc. ingredients worked wonderfully! Just remember - arrowroot thickens much better than flour, so don't cook it too long or you will end up with a bread dough texture!
