Tomato Flakes are great!
These flakes hydrate easily are are real tasty, just the right amount of tange and consistency. In fact we have been using jars of the popular sun dried tomatoes in oil and have fazed them out for these. They are easy to sprinkle on, and taste the same. Plus with no oil they offer more options, since I can ad evoo anytime. They are also nice in a bit smaller size so I don't have to dice. We like them in our favorite casserole of brussels sprouts, onion, mushroom, diced bacon (a little more flavor) or bacon pieces, of course tomato flakes, diced potato (optional). Season with garlic, smoked paprika, pepper, smoked salt, basil. Prepare in a frying pan starting with halved brussels and diced onions and sliced baby reds. Add everything else for even character. Eat when you like...we like ours with a little crunch.

Nice easy addition to classic red sauce
In our kitchen we make as much as possible from scratch. Red sauce to mayo, to salad dressings, to jambalaya. The tomato flakes are a great addition to everything we've added them to. Easy to store, great flavor and surprisingly a great texture in the dishes we've tried so far. By FAR the best dried tomato tried to date. Reordering again soon!

It's great with white beans, it's great with so many things. It is no substitute for fresh tomatoes but adds a wonderful depth of flavor. Really great stuff. I make a cannellini bean dish that is sauteed with olive oil, shallots, garlic, anchovy paste and herbs de provence. This is perfect in that dish!

But ever so handy. Reminds me of a year I lived in Turkey in 1970 - it's what the village used all winter in their daily white beans, but better quality.
