5 Spice Powder? More like Clove powder
I have purchased this item in the past and been very happy with it. Thus I was very disappointed when I opened the latest shipment and could smell only cloves, no star anise, no fennel, no cinnamon and certainly no Sichuan peppercorns. I added an equal amount of these four spices but the overwhelming smell and taste is cloves. It is completely different from what I received last year. If you don't like cloves don't buy this. You would be better off making your own. Truly disappointing. A whole batch of char siu essentially ruined.

Delicious in stir fry. I
Delicious in stir fry. I like to add this to the ton of leftover white rice you get at a Chinese take out restaurant. I add fresh vegetables, cooked chicken, broth, Worcestershire sauce, General Tso stir fry sauce and Chinese Five Spice. The flavors are wonderful together. This spice is SO much fresher and tastier than the store-bought version I had been using.
