Spices Inc.
Since I run a food blog, @milwaukeefoodking I take cooking very seriously! Spices Inc. has helped me create flavorful food without the salt! These hot Scotch Bonnet flakes are HOT! They add almost a fruity hot to soups, stews and are awesome on vege pizzas. I had never had them before and hope that you will try them.

Scotch Bonnet Chile Flakes
I've found I have to wait a minute or two after adding them to let the flavor and the heat develop before tasting, and always add less than I think I'll need at first.

Scotch Bonnet Chile Flakes
So far I have prepared fish and beef stew with these flakes, both have turned out excellent. I plan to add the Scotch Bonnet to more recipes as time. Excellent purchase for those who like heat.

Good...but not habaneros
Having tried and really enjoyed the crushed habanero chile flakes, I gave the Scotch Bonnet chile flakes a whirl. While touted as essentially having the same Scoville heat index as the habaneros, I didn't find them as hot, nor as tasty; lacking the fruitiness that I so enjoy with habaneros. Like all peppers, each has its own unique taste and heat characteristics and one kind may appeal over another for a variety of reasons. Wouldn't it be boring if they all tasted the same.

Top notch!
These flakes are just what I have been searching for to make my jerk pork complete!! I sneezed four times when I took a little whiff.....that is an excellent sign!! They are hot and slightly fruity as I had hoped!!

If you like it hot!
I find the Scotch Bonnet pepper to have the right amount of heat without being too much. I mix some with Jamaican Jerk Seasoning to give it more of a kick. I also have mixed some with Chinese Red Chiles in a grinder for REALLY making a hot dish.
