I am unfamiliar with this
I am unfamiliar with this spice, so I used it on chicken to try it out on a simple test run. It smells and tastes incredible, but it was a little bit too hot. I'll use a bit less next time. Haven't found the sweet spot for how to use it yet, but I'm very happy with the initial results and plan to use it for BBQing. I want to try it with some fresh herbs like cilantro and mint too. I'll be back to try more. It's fun to experiment and explore new tastes.

Berbere
I downloaded the recipe for Ethiopian Chicken. I used 2 1/2 lbs. of chicken thighs instead of the chicken breasts. So I added just a little more of the other ingredients to compensate. This meal was soooo hot, it made my face turn red and my nose to run. Keep in mind that I cook with a lot of spice and can take a considerable amount of heat. But this Berbere is a little too hot for me. It also has a strong clove profile. I will use the remaining spice I have for another meal, but less of it to see if that helps.

My first time ordering this
My first time ordering this and I have no regrets. I love Ethiopian food and this does the trick. My chicken Doro Wat was amazing.

I didn't find it very
I didn't find it very hot but the Berbere was nice. I just have not gotten into the rubs a lot yet.

Berbere
Nicely hot. A little too much cinnamon, not quite earthy enough.

I was in love! The most wonderful, complex seasoning---I started out using it in my eggs in the morning, soon it was everywhere. It does have a bite, but if you are used to spicy foods, you MUST try this!
