Process and Set-Up Costs
Getting A Quote
To ensure fair pricing, the cost of your custom blend is determined by the varying cost of the ingredients that make up your blend and its manufacture. Two forms need to be in place before you receive your quote. You must complete and return a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which you can obtain by emailing our custom blending team at [email protected]. We also need a complete recipe template, which you will find in the section below.
Along with your NDA and your recipe on the template, we require a $100 set-up fee before putting your test batch into production. Once the one-pound test batch has been completed, we can provide you with a quote for a standard 50-pound minimum box order. How quickly we can return a blend is dependent on whether ingredients are in our current stock; if specialty sourcing is requested, the responsiveness of a supplier factors into our return time.
Forms
We’ve provided our official recipe template for you to become familiar with. You can download and print this spreadsheet in order to get an idea of what we need in order to make your test batch. Your recipe must be measured in ounces and it must equal one pound. No ingredients can weigh less than 1/10th of an ounce (0.1 ounces) once it’s been scaled to meet the one-pound batch size.
Our Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) guarantees that your blend recipe will only be shared with people who are critical to the creation of your blend—your sales contact, our pricing department, and our blending department.
Set Up and Additional Fees
A one-time set-up fee of $100 is required for each recipe. This covers the initial blend process, shipment of the test batch, and one additional test batch if a correction is necessary. If more test batches are needed, there will be a fee of $25 per batch.
Additional fees will be charged for product specification, or spec, sheets, and nutritional information labels. These range in cost from $25-$75; reach out to [email protected] for more information.
Specialty sourcing requests are also subject to fees and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Certifications
Our product line features a selection of raw ingredients that carry food-based certifications. We have ingredients that are Kosher, USDA Organic, or GMO-Guard, and some ingredients are certified in more than one of these categories. If you are interested in getting your custom blend certified Kosher or GMO-Guard, selecting the proper ingredients is just the first step.
