Wonderful aroma and pliable (a good sign of freshness -- oils still present!). They help make a wonderful Sangrtita, (a traditional Tequila chaser)as well as other recipes. Pliable, a bit tough to remove some seeds (a good sign -- oils still present!). I used these for a mole sauce and it's the best we've made so far. Mild flavor doesn't overwhelm.

I performed my "ritual testing" to ensure their quality. I found them to be consistent in overall color, the taste was very mild and pleasing with a hint of heat, and the smell reminded me of opening a bag of dried plums. Overall, the product reminded my of my youth when we would dry chiles on our back porch and I would visit just to take in the smell of fresh dried chiles. Great quality!!
