Ghost Chile, Capsicum chinense, is a crazy-hot chile that measures 500,000-1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). It is also known as bhut jolokia, chile ghost, ghost chiles, chile ghost pepper, or dried ghost pepper.
Ghost Chiles are small, lantern-shaped chiles with thin skin and deep wrinkles in their orange-red flesh. They are about 2 1/2 – 3 inches long and about an inch across at the shoulder.
