Smoky Citrus Salt
Smoky Citrus Salt
Seasoned salt has been a part of the American culinary scene since the 1930s, when the first salt packaged with herbs and spices was produced for use on steak. Since then seasoned salts have been developed to reflect a wide range of flavors and preferences.
This blend is popular with seasoning companies, olive oil shops, and food manufacturers of products like cocktail mixes and vegan cheese. It is also regularly used by Italian/pizza, Mediterranean, and barbecue restaurants.
Flavor Profile
Smoky Citrus Salt has a pop of pepper, a pleasant bitterness from lemon and orange zest, and bright sweet hits of ginger and lime juice powder. It’s all held together with the bold flavor of smoked sea salt.
How To Use
Our product testers gave this rave reviews, and agreed it could be used on just about anything from grilled fish or chicken to roasted vegetables. Toss some over a finished pot of Fisherman’s Stew or sprinkle across the top of Balsamic and Honey Salmon. Mix into the seasonings for Spicy Coconut Shrimp. Enhance the flavors of roasted Sichuan Cornish Hens. This would deliver a great, citrusy finish to Spaghetti alle Vongole or vegetarian Zucchini Ravioli. Add a little extra flavor to Jamaican Jerk Grilled Chicken Kabobs. Season some Grilled Broccoli, mix into vinaigrettes, and even use this on the rim of a margarita glass.
