Rose Harissa
Rose Harissa
Rose Harissa is a savory, fragrant, MSG-free seasoning blend with just a bit of heat. It is also called rose harissa spice blend, rose harissa spice, rose harissa blend, harissa with rose petals.
Harissa has a reputation for being fiery, but for this blend we toned down the heat because we didn’t want to eclipse the unique flavor of rose. Peppery, sweet, and fragrant, rose petals add a highly aromatic top note, but it’s balanced by the earthy flavors of paprika and caraway so it’s flavorful without being cloying.
Rose Harissa is sought after by:
- meal kit, frozen meal, popcorn, chip, oil and condiment, and sauce manufacturers;
- meal preparation businesses;
- seasoning companies;
- independent spice shops; and
- bar & grill, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and fine dining restaurants
We also have conventional Harissa Spice available.
Flavor Profile
Rose Harissa is earthy, warming, and fragrant, with notes of piquant chiles and alluring rose.
How To Use
Rose Harissa is complex and flavorful, and is incredibly versatile. We decided to play with it a little, and breathed new life into classic finger food when we made a Rose Harissa Fish Stick Wrap. We served that with Rose Harissa Spiced Yogurt for a fun dip, and finished the meal with Rose Harissa Puffed Rice Treats. Swap this in when making other Harissa dishes like traditional Harissa Sauce, Grilled Harissa Chicken, or Harissa Couscous.
Use Rose Harissa on fried, braised, roasted, or grilled seafood, meat, burgers, chicken wings, pizza, popcorn, and sandwiches and in couscous, eggs, hummus, pasta, soups, stews, tacos, tagines, and yogurt.
