Plain yogurt creates a delicious backdrop for many flavors, but it particularly seems to work with Rose Harissa. The yogurt—we used whole milk yogurt, because we wanted the luxe texture—is inherently punchy and creamy, and has a fullness that accentuates harissa’s earthy base. The fermented tang plays seamlessly with the rose essence that rises to the top. We balanced this with a spoonful of honey and a little bit of salt, for a condiment that hits all the flavor notes.

This was delicious as the smear on the Rose Harissa Fish Stick Wrap, but it is also lovely as a vegetable dip, alongside chicken, lamb, or pork, and is even terrific on French fries.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt 
2 teaspoons to 1 Tablespoon Rose Harissa 
1-2 teaspoons honey 
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt

Instructions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Taste, and adjust seasonings as desired.

2. Let spiced yogurt sit for 15 minutes to allow flavors to fully incorporate. Serve.
