Test Batch Turnaround Time

Spices, Inc. supports growing businesses as they transition into bulk batching and outsourcing their signature blends. The custom blending team is here to facilitate that transition, providing high-quality ingredients and top-notch service as we move your blend from testing to bulk production.

Once we receive your inquiry at [email protected], our custom blending team will respond in 1-2 business days to start walking you through the steps of the custom blending process.

The custom blending process at Spices, Inc., starts with the Process and Setup Costs, which includes the non-disclosure agreement and the recipe, and submit payment for the setup fee. This fee covers your initial test batch and entering and storing your recipe into our confidential records. 

After we’ve received the required documents and payment is confirmed, our staff will get to work. Our objective is to complete the first test batch and ship it to you within a week. You’ll receive an email along with your test batch that contains the quote for one minimum-size case (50 pounds) of your blend. 

One recipe revision is included in the set-up cost. If you need to make a revision, send us your updated recipe right away. We will then ship the modified test batch within one week, with a new quote to match.

Any additional test batches cost $25 each and will follow the same timeline; once we receive payment and the revised recipe, you can expect your test blend to ship within a week, accompanied by a revised quote.

The production staff and custom blending team at Spices, Inc. have the expertise, resources, and motivation to move your blend through the various stages of development as quickly as possible. Clients who come to us prepared with a properly measured recipe and respond in a timely manner have the potential to move their recipe out of concept and into production within a month. 

Order Turnaround Time

Once the final blend recipe and quote for the 50-pound minimum are approved, you can order your blend, starting with the 50-pound minimum or more, at any time. 

The accompanying quote for your test batch will be honored for up to seven (7) days, but all products at Spices, Inc. are subject to market fluctuations. After the initial seven days, any price adjustments due to changes in the market will generate a new quote for you to approve.

Order your blend by emailing [email protected]. Our team will confirm the price of the blend with you and that all ingredients are in stock, before finalizing your order. As long as all ingredients are in stock, orders placed before 3:30 p.m. will be processed that day and are eligible for same day shipping.
