Organic California Paprika
Organic California Paprika
Organic California Paprika is a very mild chile powder, with a maximum Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) measurement of 500 and a premium ASTA value of 120. It is made from various cultivars of Capsicum annuum chiles that meet the correct heat and color requirements. Also known as organic paprika, paprika organic, bulk paprika, or organic paprika powder, paprika chiles are relished for their vibrant color and mildly pungent, peppery yet sweet flavor. Organic California Paprika is also known as organic paprika, paprika organic, bulk paprika, or organic paprika powder.
Paprika varieties are distinguished by their high levels of red pigments called capsanthin and capsorubin that are in the walls or pericarp of the fruit. Sweet paprika is made primarily of pericarp; the innards, seeds, and stems are discarded.
Organic California Paprika is popular with jerky, salt, and sauce manufacturers; food trucks; taco, Middle Eastern, and pizza restaurants; independent spice shops; and seasoning companies. For a full list of our paprika products, check out our paprika page.

How to Use
Organic California Paprika goes on everything from vegetable platters to a hearty Valencia Paella. Paprika is best known as a key ingredient in Hungarian cuisine and would be a delicious addition to Hungarian Style Beef Stew. Create a rich and hearty sauce for Spinach and Egg Shakshuka. Add it to flour and dust it on chicken or other meats for a simple, flavorful meat rub with a vibrant red color. Add it to Split Pea Soup if you want paprika’s warmth without any smoky flavor. Try it in this Tex-Mex casserole Texas Lasagna. Organic California Paprika is perfect for salad dressings, where it not only adds color but also works as an emulsifier when combining the oil and vinegar, and signature custom seasoning blends.
Use Organic California Paprika in Portuguese, Spanish, Indian, and Turkish recipes for color and depth. It is lovely in casseroles, soups, and stews, with cheeses, chicken, duck, egg-based dishes, hors d'ouvres, marinades, rice, salads, smoked foods, vegetables, and cottage cheese. Paprika’s mild nature means it pairs well with just about anything but it goes particularly nicely with garlic, onion, tomato, mustard seed, caraway, allspice, turmeric, coriander, rose petal, cumin, chocolate, black pepper, oregano, and fennel.
