Ground Fenugreek is popular with:

  • seasoning and catering companies;
  • coffee and tea, dog food, supplement, and treat manufacturers;
  • barbecue restaurants;
  • independent spice shops; and
  • distillers

Flavor Profile

Ground Fenugreek is mellow, nutty, and bittersweet, with notes of maple syrup.

How to Use

Ground Fenugreek is used in South Indian and Southeast Asian dals and curries, and African soups and stews. Add a 1/2 teaspoon to Indian-style Butter Chicken or Ethiopian Doro Wat for extra fragrance and flavor. Give a maple-flavored twist to Dry Rib Rub with the addition of Ground Fenugreek. It’s a standard in the rub for Indian Chicken Wings. Or lend its flavors to hearty eggplant when making Imam Bayildi, a rich dish of eggplant layered with tomatoes and seasonings, and roasted until silky.

Use Ground Fenugreek in chutneys, curries, with root or green vegetables, lamb, legumes, potatoes, rice, and tomatoes.

Ground Fenugreek partners well cardamom, coriander, chile peppers, honey, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, fennel seed, garlic, pepper, nigella, and turmeric.
