Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning is a pungent, flavorful, MSG-free seasoning. It is also known as Mexican vegetable seasoning, Oaxacan spices, Oaxacan herbs, Oaxacan seasoning, or South American seasoning.
This blend makes use of some of the traditional flavors of Oaxaca, incorporating various chiles for their heat, smoke, or fruity flavor. Mexican oregano provides the local herbaceousness, while sesame, garlic, and thyme reflect the way external cultures can be absorbed into a cuisine to delicious benefit.
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning is popular with:
- seasoning companies;
- Mexican restaurants;
- food trucks;
- coffee and tea manufacturers;
- independent spice shops; and
- olive oil shops
Flavor Profile
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning tastes smoky, fruity, herbaceous, aromatic, and nutty.
How To Use
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning adds smoky depth to Hearty Roasted Cauliflower Soup. It’s a terrific contrast to tart green tomatoes in Tomato Galette. Mix into the beans when making a Oaxacan Tlayuda, which is much like a tostada, but with more depth. This smoky, chile-laden blend also goes well with meat, so swap it in when making Chile Marinated Pork that’s headed for the grill, or use as the main seasoning when making a Smothered Roasted Chicken Burrito.
Oaxacan Vegetable Seasoning was made with vegetables in mind. We like it on eggplant, cauliflower, broccoli, corn on the cob, Brussel sprouts, carrots, potatoes, cauliflower, and parsnips. Add to beef, chicken, or pork, chilis, sauces, or salsa. Great for roasting, grilling, or to saute.
