Bruschetta Seasoning
Bruschetta Seasoning
Our Bruschetta Seasoning is a simple way to deliver the bright, refreshing flavors of summer. This blend is also known as bruschetta seasoning, bruschetta spice, bruschetta seasoning mix, or dried bruschetta mix.
The word bruschetta is derived from the Italian word bruscare which means "to toast" or "heat in a fire." The concept of bruschetta origins can be traced back to the ancient Romans (27 BC - 1453 AD), but it was originally a simple snack of toasted bread with some olive oil and, possibly, some garlic. Tomatoes did not arrive in Italy until the 16th century and didn’t start appearing on tables until the late 18th century, so enjoying tomatoes on bruschetta is a relatively modern change to this traditional food.
Bruschetta Seasoning is popular with olive oil shops; seasoning companies; sauce and dip mix manufacturers; food trucks; cafes; and independent spice shops.
Flavor Profile
Bruschetta Seasoning is tomato-y and sweet, with bitter and aromatic notes and a slightly smoky heat.
How to Use
Bruschetta is typically served as a snack or as the first course in a more formal Italian meal. Add Bruschetta Seasoning to a high quality olive oil and let it marinate for 10-15 minutes before using.
Bruschetta Seasoning can be tossed over homemade pizza and baked. It is delicious mixed with spaghetti or lasagna, or for a garden fresh meal, try it in these Zucchini Bruschetta Boats. Roll a log of goat cheese in this blend and drizzle with olive oil and a balsamic reduction for a beautiful appetizer, or mix with tapenade for dip. Fold into cream cheese for a savory spread for bagels and wraps. Our customers have also tried and loved it in chilis, on chicken, in rice, and as a topping on salads.
