Celery Salt
Celery Salt
Combining celery seed and sea salt, our Celery Salt delivers the grassy, vegetal, pleasing bitterness of celery with the flavor-enhancing power of salt. Celery Salt is also known as bulk celery salt and is blended in our facility in small batches.
Celery Salt has long held a position on standard spice racks, but its origins are difficult to determine. According to some popular theories, the combination of celery’s naturally rich supply of nitrate with sodium was a particularly effective, and tasty, method for preserving meat. Another idea posits that celery seed, on its own, is a flavor enhancer, so combining it with salt helped to lower sodium intake before low-sodium diets were commonplace.
Celery Salt is popular with seafood, barbecue, and American restaurants, cafes, food trucks, delis, seasoning companies, manufacturers of sauces, gourmet nuts, dip mixes, and bloody mary mixes, as well as spice and olive oil shops.
