Organic Pennsylvania Pepper
Organic Pennsylvania Pepper
We wanted to have it all with our salt-free Organic Pennsylvania Pepper, and we think we succeeded. This fragrant blend is cloaked in black pepper’s pine-rich perfume, which rises up from the jar with a sharp jab from celery seed. Pungent garlic comes forward at first bite, tempered by sweet onion and the gentle pops of bell pepper. The medium-grind black pepper delivers a mild burn and is the finishing flavor, accompanied by the savory and astringent pop from celery seed. Our Organic Pennsylvania Pepper is blended in small batches, so we can ensure that the freshest and most flavorful product possible goes out to our customers.
This is our second organic spice blend, just as our original Pennsylvania Pepper was the second blend that we created after we launched our business in 2008. Many of our health-conscious customers read labels and pay attention to ingredients, and when we looked at competing pepper blends, we were surprised that they contained significant amounts of salt and sugar. We thought we could provide our customers with another option, one that tastes great and doesn’t have salt or added sugar. Our conventional Pennsylvania Pepper is one of our signature blends, so we were pretty darn sure that this would be a hit with our organic customers as well.
Tips From Our Kitchen
Mix our salt-free Organic Pennsylvania Pepper into any kind of burger, whether it’s veggie or meat. This seasoning blend can run the gamut; it’s bright enough to sprinkle over a white fish like haddock without weighing it down, but it’s hefty enough to hold up to strong meats like venison. Stir into macaroni or tuna salad. Sprinkle over scrambled eggs. Add to ricotta cheese to put extra zing in your filling for stuffed shells. Toss over slices of provolone for a next-level grilled cheese. Sauté asparagus in olive oil and finish with Organic Pennsylvania Pepper and pine nuts. Toss over roasted Brussels sprouts.
Blended from organic black pepper, organic onion, organic garlic, organic red bell pepper and organic celery seed.
