Kansas City BBQ Rub
Kansas City BBQ Rub
Kansas City BBQ Rub is an MSG-free barbecue rub that is also referred to as bulk BBQ rub, bulk BBQ seasoning, Kansas City rib rub, and Kansas City style BBQ rub.
One of the signature characteristics of Kansas City BBQ is their preferred BBQ sauce. The Kansas City sauce is tomato-based with a flavor profile that's spicy, tangy and sweet. To balance these strong flavors, our Kansas City BBQ Rub is more savory and less sweet.
Kansas City BBQ Rub is popular with BBQ, Brewpub and American restaurants; independent spice shops; olive oil shops; dip mix manufacturers; breweries; and caterers.
Flavor Profile
Kansas City BBQ Rub is warm, earthy, herbaceous, and peppery.
How to Use
Try the Kansas City Rub when making Low & Slow Oven Baked Ribs, or swap it in when making Smoked St Louis Ribs. Kansas BBQ Rub is a great condiment to sprinkle directly on Honey Mustard Potato Salad, your favorite potato salad, or over deviled eggs. Rub it over chicken when grilling Chicken Under a Brick or rub onto turkey legs and smoke for succulent Smoked, Pulled Turkey. Or use it when making a low-and-slow Oven Roasted Beef Brisket.
Use for pork, beef, chicken, turkey, and with a lighter hand over seafood. We recommend 1 Tablespoon of rub per pound for hearty meats, and about half of that when grilling shrimp or mild fish.
