Pizza Seasoning
Pizza Seasoning
Aromatic salt-free Pizza Seasoning is carefully balanced to give homemade pizzas authentic pizzeria flavor. It is also called pizza spice, pizza seasoning mix, or pizza spice mix.
Pizza originated in Naples, a simple flatbread topped with fresh cheese, perhaps some anchovies, seasonal vegetables, and the herbs and spices that make these simple ingredients sing. This blend combines classic Mediterranean flavors that embrace pizza’s Neapolitan history and makes it easy to enjoy one of the world’s most popular dishes.
Our Pizza Seasoning blend is blended in-house, in small batches, to provide our customers with the freshest seasonings possible. It is a favorite among olive oil shops, brewpubs, and small-batch seasoning companies.
Flavor Profile
Savory and earthy, this salt-free blend has deep, aromatic notes of onion and garlic combined with fragrant herbs and spices like fennel seed, oregano, and basil. It carries a touch of heat from crushed red pepper flakes.
How To Use
Pizza Seasoning is incredibly versatile and is helpful at any stage of cooking. If you are making pizza at home, mix some of this blend into your pizza dough for an out-of-this-world pizza crust. Add one tablespoon of seasoning to two cups of tomato sauce for a more flavorful red sauce. Stir into spinach for a fragrant Vegetarian Pizza Pie. Use portobellos as a crust for savory, flavorful Portobella Pizza. Combine with hot sauce for an herbaceous Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Or, move away from pizza entirely. Stir it into a vegetarian version of Bolognese. Knead some into your meatloaf. This blend would make a great flavor base for a veggie-packed minestrone or Tortellini Soup. Whip in with goat cheese for unforgettable crostini.
