California Toasted Minced Onion

Toasted to savory perfection, our California Toasted Minced Onion provides the deep, satisfying smell and flavor of roasted onions, with a little bit of texture and none of the tears. Toasted minced onions can be rehydrated by soaking in water for 15 minutes and then drained, if they won’t have the time to soften during cooking. Use these bits of onion to enhance a sofrito. Add them to the base of onion soup for an extra boost. Mix this into the filling for sausages. Rehydrate and stir into sour cream for a chunky dip for chips and vegetables. You can also add this to a chunky breading that can top baked fish or stuffed mushrooms.
If you want to deliver savory, toasted onion flavor to your dishes in an instant, at the end of cooking time or blended into ground meats, try California Toasted Onion Powder.
To add deep onion flavor to spice blends and smooth sauces, we suggest California Toasted Granulated Onion.
