Spicy Pumpkin Pie Spice is a salt-free, MSG-free spin on a modern classic. It is also referred to as hot pumpkin pie spice, spicy pumpkin pie seasoning, zesty pumpkin spice, warm pumpkin pie spice, hot pumpkin spice, or spicy pumpkin spice.

The first commercial pumpkin spice blend emerged on the scene in the 1930s, but was generally regarded as a purely seasonal product with one use, and that was for pumpkin pies. 2003 ushered in a new era for pumpkin spice, first appearing in lattes and then, in just about everything else. While its demand is still primarily seasonal, the flavors are classic and with our introduction of spicy elements, it crosses the line to savory use with ease.

Spicy Pumpkin Pie Spice is sought after by:

  • snack food manufacturers;
  • frozen waffle, pie, and dessert manufacturers;
  • baked good and filling manufacturers;
  • beverage and cocktail manufacturers;
  • bakeries;
  • cafes;
  • coffee and tea shops;
  • cocktail bars;
  • American restaurants;
  • seasoning companies; and
  • independent spice shops

We also have conventional Pumpkin Pie Spice available.

Flavor Profile

Spicy Pumpkin Pie Spice is woodsy, sweet, comforting, and earthy, with smoky, chile-pepper heat.

How To Use

This blend can be used for sweet and for savory recipes. Enjoy it with Spicy Butternut & Black Bean Tostadas for dinner, then have creamy Spicy Pumpkin Panna Cotta for dessert, and don’t forget the spiced pepita brittle! This blend is surprisingly versatile; you can use it to spice up Mayan Hot Coco, Pumpkin Biscuits, Turkey and Pumpkin Chili, and treats like Cheesecake or crunchy Dark Chocolate Bark

Spicy Pumpkin Pie Spice can also be used to create savory and sweet pasta sauce, hummus, stuffings, and fruit compotes and sauces. Pair it with winter squash dishes, lentils and beans, butter, roasted vegetables, turkey, or chicken. It’s delicious in coffees, teas, chocolate beverages and foods, baked goods, or even steeped with alcohol.
