Honey Habanero Rub
Honey Habanero Rub
Honey Habanero Rub, sometimes called hot honey, hot honey blend, hot honey habanero, honey habanero seasoning, honey habanero spice, smoky honey habanero or honey habanero rub, is an MSG-free blend that delivers sweet and smoky heat.
Habanero chiles have a terrific, fruity flavor underneath their intense heat. Their heat tends to come on quickly and it’s on high blast. Then it dissipates, which is where the sweet and smoky flavors of this blend get the opportunity to step in.
Honey Habanero Rub is frequently purchased by chicken restaurants; bar and grills; olive oil shops; independent spice shops; seasoning companies; and companies who manufacture dip mixes, sauces, peanuts and peanut brittle, and drink mixes.
Flavor Profile
High burst of heat, followed by sweet honey, smoked salt, and savory aromatics.
How To Use
Try our Goat Cheese with Honey Habanero Marmalade for a quick and easy party spread or dip for cocktail meatballs. We also love using it with Braised Ethiopian Collard Greens as a delicious side dish or vegan main course. Swap in as the main seasoning in Oven Baked Ribs. Blend into the marinade for Caribbean Fajitas. Use 1 tablespoon of Honey Habanero Rub per pound of chicken or pork; on fish or shrimp use about half that much to start.
Sprinkle it over bacon and bake, toss over old bread for croutons, toss over strips of tortilla for a chili topping. Mix with soy sauce and ginger for a dipping sauce for egg rolls. Season French fries or make a sweet-heat cereal snack mix.
