Gourmet, homemade nut butter is one of our favorite new trends. Not only can you incorporate almost any ingredient or flavor that you crave, but chances are you will find that eating healthy can be more delicious than you thought.

I've found that it is hard to find someone who doesn't enjoy a little chocolate every once in a while. Our Mayan Chocolate Hazelnut Butter contains dark chocolate (the healthy kind) so you don't have to feel guilty about your afternoon pick me up snack. Because this butter contains hazelnuts it is high in fiber and magnesium which helps regulate your digestive tract and regulate calcium in and out of cells.

Our Mayan Coco has a rich and spicy flavor with a bit of sweetness and hints of mild heat and is hand blended from cacao powder, demerara sugar, almonds, ancho, Ceylon cinnamon.

  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • 3/4 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa)
  • 1 Tablespoon Mayan Coco
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  1. In a food processor blend for hazelnuts for 5 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
  2. While hazelnuts are blending, melt chocolate in a microwave at 10-15 second increments. 
  3. Add melted chocolate to the food processor.
  4. Add Mayan Coco to the food processor.
  5. Process for 1-2 minutes, or until smooth.
  6. Add honey and blend for an additional 5 minutes.
