Creole Seasoning
Creole Seasoning
Creole Seasoning is a salt- and MSG-free seasoning blend. It is also known as creole seasoning, no salt creole seasoning, or salt-free creole.
Creole Seasoning comes from Creole cuisine, which is based in French cooking and techniques, married with Spanish, African, and Caribbean influences. This mild seasoning blend is sometimes thought of as Cajun seasoning, despite Cajun seasoning often being significantly spicier. This is because of the close association between the two cultures and cuisines.
Creole Seasoning is popular with:
- independent spice shops;
- American restaurants;
- brewpubs;
- bar and grill restaurants;
- seasoning companies; and
- manufacturers of dip mixes and cannabis edibles
We also have Organic Creole Seasoning and conventional Cajun Seasoning available.
Flavor Profile
Creole Seasoning is peppery, bitter, and herbaceous, with a touch of spicy heat.
How To Use
Creole Seasoning is delicious in soups and stews, especially those that will feed an enormous group of people. It is excellent in the traditional dish of the South Carolina low country, Hoppin’ John. Creole Seasoning can be used as a rub for chicken, fish, or shrimp. Enjoy it in Shrimp and Crabmeat Crawfish Etouffee. Swap in to make boldly flavored Creole Sausage and Peppers. Sprinkle into rice and pasta dishes, deviled eggs, or roasted root vegetables, like these Grilled Sweet Potatoes. It is tasty with corn on the cob and can be used as a popcorn seasoning.
Use Creole Seasoning with seafood, sausage, rice, potatoes, pasta, chicken, roasted vegetables, and eggs.
