Maple Bourbon Seasoning
Maple Bourbon Seasoning
Maple Bourbon Seasoning is an MSG-free seasoning blend that’s sweet, salty, a little fruity, and packed with aromatics. It is also called maple bourbon rub or bourbon maple hops blend.
Bourbon, a whiskey made of fermented corn mash and water, is officially designated as America’s Native Spirit. A product primarily made in the Kentucky hills, bourbon has been in production since Evan Williams opened the first commercial bourbon still in Louisville in 1783.
Maple Bourbon Seasoning is popular with independent spice shops; olive oil shops; seasoning companies; barbecue restaurants; brewpubs; and manufacturers of salmon and bloody Mary mixes.
Flavor Profile
Maple Bourbon Seasoning is salty, sweet, bitter, fruity, and pungent, with a kick of heat at the end.
How to Use
Maple Bourbon Seasoning perks up chicken or delicate fish; try it as the main seasoning over Almond Crusted Tilapia. Mix this blend into a breading for rapid pan-frying. Stir into mayonnaise and spread on a rich and savory Bourbon Maple Turkey Club Sandwich, or use the mayo as a dip for raw vegetables. For parties, roll this into a Bacon Sucker Punch Cheese Ball, or swap this in to make Crispy Chicken Wings or Cauliflower Wings.
This blend is great with ribs, cheese, chicken, compound butter, pork loin, roasted broccoli, parsnips, zucchini, butternut squash, onions, as a garnish on fresh rolls or homemade pretzels, or sprinkled over popcorn.
