Organic Parsley
Organic Parsley
Organic Parsley, Petroselinum crispum, is also known as organic parsley leaf, parsley organic, organic dried parsley, or organic parsley flakes. Parsley leaf has an essential oil content of 0.06% to 0.1%.
The name of this herb is derived from the Greek word petroselinon. It means "rock celery”, and refers to this herb’s tendency to grow in rocky habitats. It is a member of the Apiaceae family and is closely related to fennel, anise, asafoetida, caraway, chervil, coriander, cilantro, dill, and cumin.
Organic Parsley is popular with manufacturers of dog food, supplements, treats, sauces, jams, and salts; bread and biscuit bakers; seasoning companies; independent spice shops; and olive oil shops.
Parsley is voluminous; there are approximately 14.5 cups of dried parsley per pound. Order accordingly.
We also offer conventional Dried Parsley and Ground Parsley.
Flavor Profile
Organic parsley is bright and grassy with mineral-like notes.
How to Use
Organic Parsley shines in vibrant, herbaceous dishes like traditional Argentinian Chimichurri Sauce. Try it in this blackened Flat Iron Steak and Carrots with Parsley Pesto. Organic Parsley brightens up vegetarian dishes like Falafel and Savory Stuffed Mushrooms.
Add Organic Parsley at the end of cooking to ensure that prolonged heat doesn't destroy its flavor.
Parsley pairs well with garlic, lemon, orange, fennel, anise, black pepper, seafood, shallots, beans, chicken, butter, lentils, and potatoes.
