Sweet & Savory Sheet Pan Pork Chops
This recipe is about as set-it-and-forget-it as it gets. Hearty, inch thick pork chops are roasted with vegetables for a one-tray meal that’s ready in under an hour. Baking the pork tossed in Sweet & Savory Pork Blend renders the complex flavors in this blend into a rich, mellow bark that shows off the succulent flavor profile. You can line your baking pan with parchment paper if you’d like since it makes cleanup easier, but the paper will prevent a bark from forming.
As an added bonus, tossing the vegetables that are a part of this dish in the same seasoning blend shows off how this blend changes on sweet carrots, earthy potatoes, or snappy green beans. Start roasting the carrots and potatoes first, since they take the longest, then put the green beans and pork chops in to finish.
3-4 large carrots, cut in hearty slices
3/4 pound (half of a bag) fingerling potatoes, sliced in half
8 ounces fresh green beans, ends snipped
4 boneless pork chops, approximately 1 inch thick
2-3 Tablespoons Sweet & Savory Pork Blend
2-3 Tablespoons olive oil, as needed
1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. Chop carrots and potatoes. Clean green beans.
3. Put carrots in a small bowl and toss with olive oil, as needed, and approximately 1 teaspoon of Sweet & Savory Pork Blend. Place on a baking sheet. Put potatoes in the bowl and also toss with oil and Sweet and Savory Pork Blend. Pour onto baking sheet, then put the carrots and potatoes in the preheated oven and roast for about 20 minutes.
4. While vegetables roast, season green beans in the same way and set aside. Lay out pork chops on a flat work surface and coat with oil, then season with at least one Tablespoon of Sweet & Savory Pork Blend, or more as needed. Make sure to season all sides of the pork chops.
5. After 15 minutes, pull the baking sheet from the oven. Flip all of the carrots and potatoes. Nestle the pork chops in among the vegetables, then add the seasoned green beans. Put back in the oven and roast everything for 25 minutes, flipping the chops after 15 minutes.
6. Remove from heat and let meat rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Slice against the grain and serve.
