This quick and easy salsa showcases the nutty, mellow flavor of de Arbol Chiles, as well as their sassy, spicy heat. Combined with fresh tomatoes, tomatillos, and onions, this salsa comes together quickly and delivers tart, brisk flavor to your favorite burritos or tacos.

Ingredients:
  • 1 beefsteak tomato or other large varietal, quartered
  • 8 peeled tomatillos
  • 1 white onion, quartered
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 12 toasted and rehydrated de Arbol Chiles
  • Handful of fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher Salt
Instructions:
  1. Boil tomato, tomatillos, onion, and garlic cloves for 2 minutes and then strain.
  2. Allow them to cool slightly. Combine in a food processor with Arbol Chilis, cilantro, and Kosher Salt. 
  3. Puree for 30 seconds. Refrigerate for an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
