Grilled Montreal Chicken with Maple Orange Glaze
Dinner doesn’t get easier than this. We took some boneless, skinless chicken breast and coated it in herbaceous, peppery Montreal Chicken Seasoning, and put them on a hot grill. Two ingredients. Three, if you count the shot of cooking spray we used to prepare the grill.
The chicken would have been tasty enough on its own with its coating of this crunchy, robust seasoning blend, but we thought we could make it even better. While the chicken breasts cooked we made a simple Maple-Orange Glaze to add some overall sweetness and play off the orange in the chicken’s seasoning blend. Once the meat was ready we drizzled it with some of the glaze and set the rest to the side for a little extra to dip into, if needed. This was ready in under half an hour and was rich, hearty, and offered terrific contrasts in texture and flavor.
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
2-3 Tablespoons Montreal Chicken Seasoning
Cooking spray
1 batch Maple Orange Glaze
1. Heat grill to medium-high. Let chicken come up to room temperature.
2. Coat chicken breasts on both sides with Montreal Chicken Seasoning.
3. When grill is hot, spray grates with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken on the grill.
4. Grill for about 5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the breasts. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
5. While chicken is grilling, prepare Maple Orange Glaze if necessary.
6. Slice. Drizzle with Maple Orange Glaze and serve.
