Dill Pickle Salt Fries

Dill Pickle Salt Fries
Dill Pickle Salt Fries

We couldn’t think of a better way to enjoy the tart and salty flavor of Dill Pickle Salt than by tossing it over crispy, hot French fries. Salt, vinegar, and a pop of lemony, herbaceous dill? This is a perfect storm of flavor. We chose to do this in an air fryer because of the ease of cooking and cleanup; it can come together in about 10 minutes. You can choose to make this dish with more conventional cooking methods if you’d like.

This is less of a formal recipe and more of a series of suggestions. We used frozen fries to simplify this recipe, but you can make this with freshly-cut fries if that’s your preference. Make as big of a batch of French fries as you’d like, since this is good if you’re cooking for one or for fifty. Toss them in as much Dill Pickle Salt as necessary, to your taste. Just remember: It is not negotiable to toss the fries while they are hot. Salt clings easier on hot food, and it will give the vinegar’s maltodextrin base the chance to adhere to the potatoes.
